Will a high-risk business get HighRiskPay.com's 1.79% rate?

Summary

No. The 1.79% belongs to the Retail Good Credit (card swipe) row; the High Risk row is 2.95%, and every rate in the table sits under a column headed "As Low As." Add the $0.25 transaction fee and $9.95 monthly fee, and a high-risk shop selling $10,000 a month at a $25 ticket pays about 4% of sales even at the table's floor.

What the table actually lists

The rates page has one table and no footnotes. Columns are "As Low As," "Transaction Fee," and "Monthly Fee":

The rows are sorted by two things, card present or not and good credit or bad. A high-risk online seller lands on the same 2.95% floor as a card-not-present merchant with bad credit.

The High Risk row at two ticket sizes

Same $10,000 month, different average sale:

$50 ticket, 200 sales $295 + $50 + $9.95 = $354.95 3.55% $25 ticket, 400 sales $295 + $100 + $9.95 = $404.95 4.05%

Even the cheapest row, Retail Good Credit, comes to $288.95 or 2.89% at a $25 ticket.

Approval and funding, in the company's own words

The homepage promises a 99% approval rate, approval in 24 to 48 hours, next-day funding, and no setup, application, or cancellation fees. The same page also says underwriting for high-risk businesses may take a few extra days, especially in highly regulated industries.

Funding is where the pages disagree with each other. Next-day funding is on the homepage. The FAQ says funds are available within two business days in regular merchant accounts and that high-risk accounts may wait longer, and another FAQ answer puts it at 24 to 48 hours.

What none of the pages mention

Reserves, contract length, early termination, PCI, gateway, statement, and batch fees do not appear on the rates page, the FAQ, or the About page. The FAQ says a chargeback is pulled from the merchant's bank account "along with a fee," with no amount.

No sponsoring bank is named either. The company says it is "backed by long-standing bank relationships" and matches businesses to accounts through a nationwide banking network; the only contact details listed are a phone number and an address in Ladera Ranch, California.
