Is 2.69% + 9¢ really what Valor Merchant Services would charge?

Summary

Only as a starting point, and only for Clover swipes. The site says Clover point-of-sale systems accept all payment types "all from 2.69% + 9¢ per swipe," with no plan named and no rate given for keyed, online or phone orders. Valor Merchant Services publishes no fee schedule and does not name the processor or sponsor bank behind its accounts.

The swipe rate at different ticket sizes

TicketFee at 2.69% + 9¢Effective rate
$10$0.363.59%
$25$0.763.05%
$60$1.702.84%
$100$2.782.78%

The 9¢ carries the most weight on small tickets, and "from" makes 2.69% the lowest rate on offer. The site doesn't say whether Clover hardware or software subscriptions are charged on top.

The rest of the site

Valor Merchant Services says it has been in business since 2010 and is owned by Angela Trippe. The site is a single Wix homepage plus a booking page that reads "Nothing to book right now," and the footer says ©2017.

Its services list covers POS hardware and software integration, card-not-present transactions (ecommerce, online gateways, MOTO), mobile processing, hosted payment forms and PCI compliance. Three of those links, POS hardware, eCommerce and Mobile payment, lead to pages on Gravity Payments' website. The social icons point to Wix's own Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

On fees, the site says there are no monthly minimums, maximums, annual or retrieval fees on its fee schedules, and that all fees are disclosed upfront. The schedules are not posted.

Valor PayTech is a different company

Valor PayTech makes terminals and a payment gateway and sells them through ISOs and ISVs, and Paysafe lists it among its point-of-sale options. The Valor Merchant Services site shares no phone number, email address or staff names with it.
